OUR MISSION

CLICKS is a multi-state, law-related mentoring support program that empowers at- risk youth through exposure to social justice issues, health, sports, law and the legal profession. Funded by a grant from the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), Office of Justice Program (OJP), Office of Juvenile Justice & Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP).

WHY MENTORING?

“Show me a successful individual and I’ll show you someone who had real positive influences in his or her life. I don’t care what you do for a living—if you do it well I’m sure there was someone cheering you on or showing the way. A mentor.” – Denzel Washington

We understand that all influences, whether positive or negative, will affect our lives. Our goal at CLICKS, is to provide and support positive influences and worthwhile experiences in the lives of young people. Our curriculum and activities are concentrated in the areas of law, sports, health, and social justice. Civic engagement, volunteerism, scholastic improvement and achievement, social skills, and career planning are also highly encouraged in CLICKS programs. It is our hope that through the CLICKS program, students are injected with a working knowledge and understanding of how the law works so that as they become adults, they know how they are protected and can use the law to effect change in their communities. We are leaders on a mission to create leaders.
