Call for Nominations

The CLEO EDGE AWARD
In Recognizing 52 Years of Championing Education, Diversity, and Greater Equality In the Legal Profession

To mark its 52nd Anniversary in 2020, the Council on Legal Education Opportunity, Inc. (CLEO) will recognize and honor individuals, law schools, and legal organizations that have made significant accomplishments or demonstrated commitments to Education, Diversity, and Greater Equality in the legal profession.  Called the CLEO EDGE Award. 

The CLEO EDGE Award recipients -one for Education; one for Diversity; and one for Greater Equality-will be honored at the CLEO EDGE Honors Virtual Reception on November 12, 2020.

Nominations are currently being accepted. 

To be considered for an award, the nominator (or nominee) must complete the online application, which can be found at www.cleoinc.org/edgeawards and includes a 500-word (or less) narrative of the specific accomplishments for which the nominee is being recommended and the time frame.  Additional application materials, such as:

  • letter(s) of support
  • résumés and
  • listing of previous awards/certificates

may be uploaded, but are not required.

The CLEO EDGE Honors Awards Committee will review all nominations and make recommendations to the CLEO, Inc. Board, which will then select the awardees.
