The Honorable Dawne G. Westbrook was appointed to serve as a Judge of the Connecticut Superior Court in February of 2009. She is currently the presiding judge over juvenile matters in the Rockville juvenile court. In the past, she has served in the Hartford criminal court, the Manchester criminal court, the Hartford family court, and the Hartford juvenile court. In 1992, Judge Westbrook received her Bachelor’s of Art degree Magna Cum Laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee. She received her Juris Doctorate from the Vanderbilt University School of Law in Nashville, Tennessee in 1995. Prior to her appointment, she focused her legal practice largely on juvenile, criminal, and civil rights. Judge Westbrook has served on a number of boards, committees, and commissions over the years and is also the proud mother of four children.
