Judge Willie Lott, Jr. currently serves as a Juvenile Court Judge with the Superior Court of Alameda County, California. He was appointed by then-Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger in September 2007. Prior to this bench appointment, he was appointed as a Superior Court Commissioner by the Judges of the Superior Court of Alameda County, California in March 2002. Judge Lott worked as a Deputy City Attorney for the City of San Jose, CA, and a Deputy County Counsel for the County of Alameda, CA for a combination of 28 years.
Judge Lott was born and raised in Oakland, CA and attended the Oakland public school system. He received a BA degree in Social Science and Political Science from California State University at Hayward in 1969. He attended the CLEO Six-Week Summer Institute at the University of Toledo in 1969 and went to earn a JD from Martin Luther King Jr. Hall at the University of California, School of Law, Davis in 1972.
