Judge Reggie B. Walton to give special remarks at the April 11th CLEO EDGE Honors Reception and Awards Program

Alexandria, VA — April 5, 2024 — The Council on Legal Education Opportunity, Inc. (CLEO), is proud to announce that the Honorable Reggie B. Walton, United States District Judge, United States District Court for the District of Columbia, will give special remarks at the 5th Annual CLEO EDGE Honors & Awards Program. The event will take place the evening of Thursday, April 11, 2024.

A proud 1971 alumnus of the CLEO program, after receiving his Bachelor of Arts degree from West Virginia State University, Judge Walton earned his Juris Doctorate from American University – Washington College of Law in 1974. A deserving recipient of numerous professional accolades and accomplishments, including, being an inaugural inductee in the “CLEO Judges Hall of Fame,” Judge Walton has a lengthy and distinguished career in public service. After being a non-profit staff attorney out of law school, he served as an Assistant United States Attorney for five years before being appointed to the bench as an Associate Judge of the Superior Court of the District of Columbia in 1981. He has since held numerous roles in the judiciary, up to and including his current seat on the federal bench.
